applying to shows...

I have been working on some new photos this week for some of my fall show applications. Every photo shoot I do I learn something new. This time I was trying to focus on showing multiple items, and giving my work a softer feel than the stark and clean look of my plain white backgrounds.

These are beautiful, Kelcey! I love the shot with the book and also the one underneath it. I also like the rough look of the grayish fabric. Very nice!

I'm thrilled to find your blog. I bought a locket with your raven & triangles illustration at the Big Crafty last year which I love. Not knowing you were the same artist, I fell in love with your encaustic paintings at the All Souls Craft festival last year as well. Today I looked you up on the back of my prints that I bought to discover you were the same artist! I'm looking to get into encaustic college and you were one of my main inspirations!
