Aletha Mae Francisco

Just a quick note to let you know that I had the chance to whisper all those things I wanted to say to her in her ear.  She passed on 15 hours after we made it to the hospital. I feel so grateful, and yet, it is still painful...

I just went through the same thing with my mother. A much shorter, but still agonizing drive. I had talked to her on the phone just 36 hours earlier, a couple hours later, she went to surgery and never woke up again. I don't know if she heard me whisper to her. I still talk to her though, out loud. I do not believe that she hears me, but I hear me. Just talking to her that way makes me feel a little better.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. It is just a part of life. Hug all of the ones you love that are still around you.

Take care.

Dear, sweet Kelcey,

So glad you arrived in time to whisper your love and goodbyes. A wise woman told me "There are no goodbyes in heaven." I'm counting on that;)
Much love and sympathy to you, your mom and all loved ones who are missing her
